What is National Apprenticeship Week?
National Apprenticeship Week has just been announced for 2022!
As a registered and approved apprenticeship provider with a passion for raising awareness of these fantastic schemes, we felt it was only right to dedicate an article series to National Apprenticeship Week (N.A.W.).
In today’s article, we explore what it is, the success of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week, and what our aim is for N.A.W. 2022.
What is National Apprenticeship Week?
National Apprenticeship Week is an entire week dedicated to providing you with a comprehensive level of understanding around apprenticeships and how they can help your people develop the skills and knowledge needed by businesses to build a brighter future.
Every National Apprenticeship Week has a theme (2022’s theme has not been announced yet) and during that week, there are many fantastic events held by countless organisations which aim to demystify modern-day apprenticeships and encourage businesses to get involved.
The Astonishing Success of National Apprenticeship Week 2021
This year, National Apprenticeship Week was held from 8th - 14th February, and focused on how organisations can ‘Build the Future’.
During that week:
- 23 live webinars were held
- 26,000 people attended these webinars
- 4,600 live questions were asked
- 115 guest speakers featured in these webinars
Guest speakers included Amazon, the F.C.A (Financial Conduct Authority), Network Rail, Experian, Bentley, NHS, Pfizer, Aldi, Severn Trent, Department of Education, and many many more.
These events explained how apprenticeships can be used to build a better future for organisations and individuals alike, and explored the 1,500 different apprenticeships available, from intermediate to masters degree level.
After National Apprenticeship Week 2021, 95% of event attendees said they felt better places to make a well-informed decision about apprenticeships.
Overall, this year’s N.A.W. was a remarkable success!
Our Aim for National Apprenticeship Week 2022
Whilst having an entire week dedicated to apprenticeships is fantastic, our job, as an apprenticeship provider that is passionate about ensuring that the right people are on the right programmes, is to bring awareness to people all year round.
This is why, on the six-month build-up to National Apprenticeship Week 2022, our aim is to help you better understand apprenticeships by:
- Demystifying what a modern-day apprenticeship is and how it works
- Answering any apprenticeship-related questions you may have
- Helping you identify whether apprenticeships are the right path for you
